The Story
—
Paisley Smith and Caitlin Conlen met in Los Angeles in 2014. At the time, Paisley was finishing her MFA at USC School of Cinematic Arts, and Caitlin was completing her graphic design degree at Art Center College of Design. On their first date, they were surprised to find out that they shared the same birthday: February 21, 1988.
After graduating in 2015, Paisley moved home to Vancouver, BC to create a project with the National Film Board of Canada. Caitlin and Paisley continued their relationship through a year and a half of long distance, with the help of lots of FaceTime and many flights back and forth. Paisley got her visa to come back to LA in 2016, and soon after, Paisley and Caitlin found the love of their lives, Archie Cadillac Conlen Smith.
Caitlin proposed to Paisley on June 4,2018 at a wildlife sanctuary in San José del Cabo, Mexico. As part of her proposal,Caitlin requested that at some point, Paisley would also propose to her.
Paisley proposed to Caitlin at the Natural History Museum on July 13, 2018, almost four years exactly from their first date, which was also at the NHM. Afterwards, Paisley surprised Caitlin with a celebration with their friends at Cole’s French Dip in Downtown LA.
Paisley and Caitlin have taken many fun road trips to Palm Springs, and decided to get married there because it is a place that continuously fills them with joy, magic, beauty, and adventure.

Accommodations
There are many great hotels and Airbnb stays in the Palm Springs area!
We recommend staying in the north part of Palm Springs to be close to the Lazy C Ranch.
Due to Covid-19 we recommend booking hotels and airbnbs that offer a strong cancellation policy, just in case.
Registry
—
Instead of a traditional wedding registry, we have decided to create a honeymoon fund (although there are also a few colourful items tucked in that we couldn't resist!)
After the last year and a half at home, we've decided to go BIG with our honeymoon adventure. We are planning a trip through Mexico and South America for 2022!
On our registry you’ll be able to gift us treats along the way, such as date nights and adventurous excursions. We promise to share lots of pictures of our adventures with you along the way!
About the
Lazy C Ranch
—
The Lazy C Ranch is the only historic ranch of its kind in Palm Springs. What began as a stagecoach stop in the Old West has become an authentic working ranch, complete with horses, goats, a mule, bunnies, and chickens.
With preserved foundation dating back to the 1920s and original ownership dating back to the 1860s, The Lazy C sits just below the quiet majesty of the San Jacinto mountains.
Although only minutes from downtown Palm Springs, adventurous visitors can take a short drive to the hiking trails of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The Ranch's heated outdoor Rock Pool is one of the first pools ever built in Palm Springs.
